Finished OLTC build

When Terry Fritz and friends thought up the original OLTC, one of the things that got them excited (or so I believe) was that it needed no transformer and so could be very simple and compact. In order to stay true to the original idea, I tried to make mine as small and cute as possible. The base is made out of a wooden shelf sawn in half, and the front and back are made from the aluminium case of an old power supply.

Primary circuit. Note twin primaries- one for each IGBT. The pile of little yellow caps was added for tuning. I'll replace them wih a single 0.47uF cap.

The charging circuit is housed on the bottom deck. There is an IEC mains inlet on the back. That's it!
